Super 60 Honors

Super 60 Honors Region's Top Economic Drivers - Chicopee Industrial Contractors, Inc.

12/22/2006

The Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield, Inc. (ACCGS) will celebrate excellence in the region at its Super 60 Luncheon and Recognition Program on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at Chez Josef in Agawam, sponsored by Health New England, PeoplesBank, Moriarty & Primack, P.C., Webster Bank, Westfield Bank, Sovereign Bank and ACCGS Media Partner WWLP 22 News.

Now in its seventeenth year, the program celebrates the success of the fastest-growing, privately-owned businesses in the region which continue to make significant contributions to the strength of the regional economy.

Companies were nominated in two categories: total revenue and revenue growth. Companies eligible for the program must be independent, privately-owned businesses, be based in either Hampden or Hampshire counties or be a member of ACCGS, be in business for at least three full years and produce revenues of at least $1 million in the last fiscal year.

This year's revenue winners combined for almost 1.2 billion dollars in the past fiscal year with average revenue for the top 30 exceeding $31 million and 50% exceeding $20 million. Seventeen (17) companies are new to the revenue category this year. Four (4) companies on the revenue list also qualify for the growth category, with two companies in the top 10 qualifying for both lists. Four (4) companies new to the category this year are also new to the top-ten revenue winners list.

In the growth category, the average growth among the winners was over 57% with companies having to have had at least 23% growth in order to be included in the category. Twenty-six (26) of the companies reported growth in excess of 30%, with 18 companies exceeding 40% growth. Fifteen (15) companies are new to the growth category this year and seven (7) of these companies made it into the top 10 revenue growth. Three (3) companies in the growth category also qualify for the revenue category, with two (2) companies qualifying in the top 10 on both lists.

Nearly 85% of the Revenue honorees are ACCGS Chamber members, while more than one-third of the Growth recipients are members. The Super 60 companies represent six affiliate chambers of the ACCGS with the breakdown by Chamber as follows: Agawam Chamber - 7 honorees, East Longmeadow/Longmeadow Chamber - 6 honorees, Hampden/Wilbraham Chamber - 3 honorees, Springfield Chamber - 16 honorees, West Springfield Chamber - 3 honorees, and the Westfield Chamber has 2 honorees.

Barry Kriger, Anchor/Reporter, WWLP 22News will serve as the master of ceremonies of the program. Reservations for the Super 60 Luncheon and Recognition Program are $45 for Chamber members and $65 for nonmembers. Reserved seating will be available for tables of 10.
